This digitized collection comprises a ledger and a photograph from the Overland Hotel. The ledger contains guest information for March-July 1904, including guest names, town of residence, and assigned room number. The photograph depicts a group portrait of pioneers posing outside the hotel, dated June 29, 1904, with the names of each subject identified.
The Overland Hotel was erected in 1865 on the corner of 8th and Main Streets in downtown Boise, Idaho. The two-story Spanish Mission-style building featured a large surrounding porch and balcony, columns, and a parapet on the far-left side of the roof. It operated until the Eastman Family, owners since 1877, tore it down and began construction of a building known as the Overland Building (later renamed Eastman Building) after the last day of operation on July 1, 1904.
